The actress from Pearl Harbor has decided to minimize her interactions with Jennifer Lopez. Garner is only willing to communicate with the 55-year-old singer when it concerns their children from her marriage to Ben Affleck. This decision marks the end of a complicated dynamic between the two women, which has evolved into an unexpected rivalry due to their shared past.
“Jen no longer wants to communicate with JLo unless it’s related to the kids,” an insider revealed. There were rumors that Garner had at one point played the role of mediator between Ben and his ex-wife when their marriage began falling apart. Insiders claimed that the actor’s first wife, being kind and caring, had become something of a family advisor for the couple.

“Her friends believe she shouldn’t have gotten so involved in trying to help JLo save her marriage to Ben, especially since Jen once felt like she was competing with JLo in her own relationship with Affleck,” the source added. Garner has completely distanced herself from Lopez but has never publicly said anything negative about the singer, even in light of the “strange” moments in JLo’s relationship with her 18-year-old daughter Violet.
In July, Violet spent time with Lopez in the Hamptons, and in early November, Lopez’s sister Linda visited the girl at Yale University. This drew public attention and reportedly caused “mixed feelings” for Garner. “JLo became closer to Violet, and then Linda suddenly appeared at her university. All of this seemed a bit strange to Jen, but she would never say that out loud,” said the source.

Despite this, Garner has always emphasized her loyalty to Affleck as the father of her three children. “She respects their attachment to Lopez and would never speak ill of her. But everyone knows that any communication with the children, aside from Violet, should go through Jen.”
Since her divorce from Ben Affleck in 2018, Garner has been quietly dating businessman John Miller. Their romance has remained low-key and out of the public eye, but recent reports suggest the couple is preparing for a wedding. Meanwhile, her ex-husband isn’t wasting time either; the 52-year-old screenwriter of Good Will Hunting is reportedly open to starting a relationship with a woman who shares similar values.
