Information about the actor’s infidelities was spread by informed insiders from his mistress’s circle.
Rumors are circulating online that divorced 56-year-old Hugh Jackman has “eloped with his mistress” and is planning a “soft start” to a new relationship, Us Weekly reports. Jackman’s alleged new girlfriend is 49-year-old theater actress Sutton Foster, with whom he worked on the Broadway musical The Music Man at the Winter Garden Theater in Manhattan from February 2022 to January 2023. And, apparently, the romance between them began even before the actor’s divorce from his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, which the public learned about last September.
“Sutton and Hugh’s relationship was the reason for Hugh and Deb’s divorce,” an unnamed source close to Foster told US Weekly. “A lot of people on Broadway knew about it, but we kept it a secret because they’re both lovely, wonderful people. Everyone respected their privacy. But they did have a romance. And they’re really happy now.”
The informant believes that an affair on the side will adversely affect Jackman’s impeccable Hollywood reputation.
Hugh’s whole image is built on the fact that he is the nicest guy in Hollywood, so he doesn’t know what to do with it yet.
According to an insider, Jackman’s ex-wife was taken completely by surprise by his office romance.
