The secret life of a 106-year-old lady, from Vogue magazine.
Apo Wang-Od regularly eats organic food, breathes clean air, works hard, maintains a good mood and has a positive attitude towards everything in this world.

Apo Whang-Od is a legendary Filipina woman who played a key role in preserving batok, the centuries-old traditional tattoo art of the Kalinga tribe.
At the age of 106, Whang-Od was invited to appear on the cover of fashion magazine Vogue. In the magazine’s photo, she still looks modest and healthy, despite her age.

She also became the oldest model to appear on the cover of the prestigious publication.
Although she is considered the last person to help preserve the Batok tattoo culture, Whang-Od is not the oldest member of the Kalinga tribe.

Estella Palangdao, the grandmother’s niece, says longevity is considered natural among the Kalinga people.
When tribe members reach the age of one hundred, children in the village are named after them.

Even at this age, Mrs. Whang-Od is still able to farm, take care of her family, do housework, feed animals, and travel around her village and beyond from time to time.
She continues her profession as a tattoo artist, receiving up to 60 clients a day. In an interview with the media, she revealed the secret of her longevity and excellent health.

Whang-Od said their family never uses chemicals in their food, using only wild sunflowers as fertilizer.
