Years of hard work, restrictions, professional responsibilities and a hectic schedule – and after all this, many older people are looking for happiness and peace in retirement.
Indeed, this period is the perfect time to better take care of yourself and enjoy your precious free time.

Moving into a nursing home is also a good option that many people consider, but for some, the cost may be an issue.
Terry Robinson, a 64-year-old man, came up with an ingenious plan.
Determined to overcome his financial limitations, this 64-year-old retiree decided to live… in a hotel! His Facebook post has been shared by tens of thousands of people.
To enjoy his golden years, Terry Robinson chose the right method: booking a room at the Holiday Inn. He is fully aware of the significance of his decision.

The man explained in a Facebook post that instead of paying $188 a day to stay at a nursing home, he would pay just $65 at a hotel. Not a bad idea, right?
There is also a discount for seniors for longer stays. Breakfast is also included and there is even a happy hour with lower drink prices than usual.
Terry also has access to the hotel’s gym, swimming pool and sauna. What’s more, he receives complimentary toiletries every day: shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste and a razor.

In addition, his room is cleaned regularly by a maid.
“With a $5 tip a day, you get full service where you’re treated like a customer, not a patient,” Terry shared.
As for his health, Terry seems to have thought of everything. “The maids check that I’m okay and if anything happens, they call an ambulance,” the elderly man said.

In case of any problems, the costs are covered by the public health system.
