A Grammy-nominated artist can’t hide his emotions when talking about Selena Gomez. Benny Blanco excitedly shared that every day begins for him with what he calls the best moment of his life. “I’m a morning person, and it’s my favorite time of the day. Selena and I spend it together while the whole world is still asleep,” Blanco revealed.
The producer referred to Gomez as “his true best friend,” someone with whom he can share all of life’s moments. Benny explained that they try not to play games in their relationship and focus on being authentic. “No games. I always try to make every day special, but that doesn’t mean spending all the money. The most important thing is attention and understanding,” he explained. He shared that some of Selena’s simple joys include her favorite dishes, like fried pickles or homemade tacos, which he prepares from scratch.
Blanco believes the secret to the perfect date is creating unique, memorable moments. He emphasized that the first date should leave an unforgettable impression. “It should be something where the person calls their friends and says, ‘Oh my God, that was incredible,'” he explained. He’s convinced that it’s important for people to forget about the routine for a couple of hours and just enjoy the moment. “Sometimes you leave a date thinking, ‘Wow, where did the time go?'” Benny added.
According to the rapper, Selena is just as romantic as he is. He recalled one date where she arranged a private outing to a botanical garden, renting it out just for the two of them. “She said, ‘I want to set up a date for you,’ and we went there. It was amazing,” he said. The singer also knows how to give thoughtful gifts: when they first had to be apart, Selena gave him a teddy bear with the message: “I miss you. You’ve got this. I’ll be back soon.”
Commenting on their similar views on gifts, the musician added that both he and Selena prefer to make gifts themselves. He believes these personal touches give their relationship extra warmth. “Most of my gifts are something unique and personal. Like keeping the ticket from our first date and framing it for their birthday. Simple, but meaningful things that stay with you,” the producer explained.
Despite their celebrity status, Benny and Selena still enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Sometimes they indulge in fast food or have little picnics, buying sweets and spicy chips. “The most important thing on a date is to listen to what your partner is saying. Don’t just talk about yourself,” Benny noted.
Benny and Selena don’t shy away from showing their affection in public, enjoying each other’s company even under the gaze of cameras. Their relationship began in 2023, five years after Selena’s breakup with Justin Bieber, a time that was hard for her.
