Hollywood star Angelina Jolie recently presented her film about opera singer Maria Callas. She unveiled the project at the Directors Guild of America in New York, where she was spotted looking as if she had just stepped off a runway. The Oscar-winning actress chose a black velvet ankle-length dress for the event.

The dress featured a modest round neckline and a flared skirt, complemented by a beige double-breasted trench coat with wide lapels and a waist belt, falling just below the knee. The outfit highlighted the actress’s delicate frame. She paired the look with classic pointed-toe pumps on stiletto heels. Opting for simplicity, Jolie skipped jewelry, choosing only a subtle yellow gold ring on her right hand’s ring finger.

Her makeup was understated, with soft cat-eye eyeliner, curled lashes, and a shimmering coral lipstick. Angelina also underwent a slight transformation, swapping her dark locks for a softer, sandy blonde shade.
Although she appeared slightly tired, Jolie didn’t have much time to engage with the public. She signed a few posters handed to her by fans before quickly moving past the crowd. She paused momentarily before the entrance and waved to the assembled onlookers.
The actress is already being tipped for a second Academy Award for her portrayal of one of the greatest opera singers of the 20th century. The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, tells the story of the Greek-born soprano who returns to France after a glamorous, tumultuous life in the public eye. Maria Callas passed away in Paris in 1977 from a heart attack at the age of 53.
Jolie won her first Oscar in 2000 for Best Supporting Actress in *Girl, Interrupted* and was nominated for Best Actress in 2009 for *Changeling*, where she played Christine Collins. She lost that year to French actress Marion Cotillard, who won for *La Vie en Rose*.

Throughout her illustrious career, the daughter of actors Marcheline Bertrand and Jon Voight has received numerous awards, including three Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Tony Award. Known for her role as *Maleficent*, Jolie is halfway to achieving EGOT status, having won her first Tony Award this summer. EGOT—the most prestigious honor in American show business—is awarded to those who have won all four major American performing arts awards: an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. Only 21 people have reached this milestone, and for Jolie, winning an Emmy and a Grammy would complete the achievement.
