In October, it was revealed that the American star had broken up with her boyfriend after three years together. The couple had gone public with their relationship in early 2022. However, the birth of their child didn’t strengthen their relationship. DDG shared the news of their separation on social media, saying, “After a lot of thought and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I decided to go our separate ways. This decision wasn’t easy, but we believe it’s the best for both of us. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and genuine.”
Now, Halle has publicly criticized her ex for showing their son to millions of viewers in an online broadcast without her consent. “Hey everyone, just so you know, I’m currently out of town and I don’t approve of my child being shown on live stream tonight. I was not notified or informed, and I am deeply upset that my child was seen by millions of people. I’m his mother and protector, and it saddens me that I wasn’t informed, especially since I’m not even in town,” Bailey wrote in a post. The post was later deleted from her social media.
The actress also shared her struggles with severe postpartum depression. According to Bailey, she feels her ex-partner didn’t show her the respect she deserved. “As a woman going through severe postpartum depression, I would have liked my boundaries to be respected. No one knows what a person is going through until they break.”
Fans quickly expressed their support for Bailey in the comments before she removed the posts. “It’s understandable, boundaries are so important, especially during such a difficult time. Hope they can work things out,” one wrote. “Respect her boundaries—postpartum depression is no joke,” another commented.
A few weeks after giving birth, Bailey explained that she was forced to share the news of her child’s birth due to rumors circulating. Halle said her baby, Halo, is her greatest gift and blessing, and she wanted to protect him and her family from unwanted attention.
