Brad Pitt was filming a scene for his upcoming movie *Formula 1* when an unexpected incident took place at the Mexico Grand Prix.
The 60-year-old actor was at the Hermanos Rodríguez racetrack in Mexico City while drivers, including the race winner Carlos Sainz, were competing. Pitt, dressed in a white racing suit, was leaving the racetrack after a long day of filming. As he walked away, a fan approached him asking for a selfie, and though he hesitated, he agreed. But things took an unexpected turn when the woman suddenly grabbed Brad by the neck and kissed him on the cheek, all while capturing the moment on her phone.
It was clear that the actor was uncomfortable, trying to pull away, and security quickly intervened, escorting the laughing fan away. While those in Pitt’s circle were outraged by the incident, the actor himself remained calm and didn’t show anger. According to an insider, “Brad is very laid-back and never criticizes fans for showing affection. Although the situation might have taken him by surprise, he appreciates his loyal supporters. He didn’t feel threatened and didn’t mind it. A kiss on the cheek is certainly better than a punch to the face.”
Despite the reaction from some fans, many criticized the fan’s actions. Some commented, “This is completely disrespectful. You’re invading his personal space. You didn’t even ask for his permission. He agreed to take the photo despite being tired, and you couldn’t show basic respect?” Others wrote, “This is harassment, poor Brad,” and “Imagine being in his position. Would you want someone you don’t know grabbing and kissing you? Brad is always so kind to his fans, so please be kind in return.”
In his upcoming movie, *Formula 1*, Brad plays retired racer Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport as a mentor when a friend makes him the offer. Pitt was seen waving the Mexican flag after removing his helmet during a break in filming. Production of the film began last summer at Silverstone, where the actor was spotted driving during several Grand Prix. He was accompanied by his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, during the shoot.
The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski and also stars Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Sarah Niles, and Tobias Menzies. The project is produced by Pitt, Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton, and Jerry Bruckheimer.
