Additionally, Selena has openly talked about her condition of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). “I have malabsorption syndrome in my small intestine. It flares up,” the former girlfriend of Justin Bieber expressed indignantly.
SIBO occurs when the movement of food and waste through the digestive tract slows down, creating an environment for bacteria to grow. This condition is usually caused by surgery or illness and can lead to symptoms like bloating, stomach pain, and malnutrition.
Selena shared that her weight often fluctuates due to her condition. “I tend to retain a lot of water, and that’s normal. Then, when I stop drinking it, I kind of lose weight,” she explained.
