When wildlife selfies go wrong… 🐘📸 A close encounter with an elephant turned dangerous when a man tried to capture the moment up close.
In India, an elephant attacked a man who wanted to take a selfie with him, Daily Mail writes.
According to media reports, 23-year-old Srikanth Satre was walking with a friend near the jungle when he met an elephant. Despite the danger, the friends decided to take a selfie with him, which they regretted. When Srikanth approached the animal, it jumped on him and started trampling him.
Satre’s friend tried to scare the elephant, but the animal continued to drag the man on the ground. The doctors who arrived on call could not save Srikanth as his injuries were too severe. The police investigating the case reminded people about safety rules when interacting with wild animals and asked citizens not to interact with such animals unless absolutely necessary.
