New Delhi:
BLACKPINK’s Rosé has entered a new phase in her career. Ahead of her first solo album set to release in December, the K-pop star premiered the song “APT.” in collaboration with Bruno Mars on Friday. The music video features a pink backdrop, opening with Rosé and Bruno in matching leather jackets. As Rosé leads the vocals, Bruno showcases his drumming skills in the background, before joining her for a playful duet. “APT.” is an upbeat, catchy track that pairs perfectly with its fun and quirky music video.

In a statement, Rosé explained that “APT.” is inspired by her favorite Korean drinking game, Apartment. “APT is actually my favorite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends back home. It’s simple, brings a smile, and breaks the ice at any party. One night in the studio, I taught my crew how to play, and everyone was fascinated, especially when I started the chant. We played around with it and thought we should make a song out of it… and then Bruno joined in, and the rest is history!”
Bruno Mars shared a fun anecdote from that night on Instagram, posting a black-and-white photo with Rosé while they played the game. He captioned it, “So this was me hanging on for dear life after Rosé introduced me to this Korean drinking game and got me tipsy. Soon after, she tried to kiss me, and I was like, ‘Woah Rosie! What part of the game is this?’ She replied, ‘I ain’t playin’ games with you anymore, lil boy! Big Rosie’s about that BIDNESS!’ I was shaken and said, ‘Stop Rosie, I’m scared!’ But other than that, it was a super chill night.”

“APT.” serves as the first preview of Rosé’s upcoming album titled “Rosie,” which is described as her “most personal and candid release to date.” Meanwhile, Bruno Mars is gearing up for the final leg of his Las Vegas residency. “APT.” marks Bruno’s second collaboration in 2024, following “Die With a Smile” with Lady Gaga.
