The Duchess of Sussex did not stay long at the children’s hospital, where she arrived in a bright outfit. Meghan Markle was suspected of wanting PR at the event.
Meghan Markle attended the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala on Saturday. British socialite Lizzie Cundy, 56, attended the event alongside the Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry’s wife swapped her usual slicked-back hairstyle for a wavier look, opted for minimal jewelry, and more subtle makeup.
The Suits actress wore a red Carolina Herrera dress, which she wore for the first time in 2021. She ditched the bra for the look. The train of her $5,990 dress was removed for a simpler look. As for Harry, he went on a two-week “quasi-royal tour” without his wife.
56-year-old Kandy tried on a $339 (32,566 rubles) Pia Michi dress for the outing. The TV presenter admitted that Megan’s short visit left a mixed impression on those present.
“When she arrived, there was no warmth from the people. She was there for a short time – it seemed like she was there for the pictures. Megan needs LA more than LA needs her. The people of LA feel like she’s played them. I would have worn something different if I’d known,” Lizzy said.
Back in 2021, she drew attention to Meghan’s words about wanting to be a London girl. The Duchess assured that she loved London men and everything related to London. Lizzy was then asked to look after Meghan, who had moved to Los Angeles and was looking to make new acquaintances. However, their communication did not last long. Markle stopped all contact with her.
“Meghan has been ignoring me since the engagement. She’s been ignoring a lot of people, including her family obviously, so I’m not the worst person she’s ignoring,” Kandi noted.
At the event, Markle was joined on the carpet by Kelly Mackey Seiffen, co-founder of the Alliance of Moms, a network of philanthropists who support pregnant and raising teens in the Los Angeles foster care system. The duchess then greeted Paul Viviano, a health care executive and national advocate for children’s health, giving him a warm hug after posing for a photo with Kelly.
Harry reportedly did not spend his 40th birthday last month with Meghan, instead going on a hike with friends, sparking speculation about problems within the couple, the Daily Mail reports.
