Barbara Eden’s Hollywood career has long been characterized by her enduring elegance and charisma, beginning with her time as Miss San Francisco and culminating in her iconic role as a genie on television. Eden graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco in 1951, the same year she was crowned Miss San Francisco, although she didn’t win the Miss California pageant. Nine years later, in 1959, she made a significant breakthrough in her acting career with a role in “A Private’s Affair.”
Her most memorable role came in “I Dream of Jeannie,” where she became famous for her blonde hair with bangs and her striking pink and red midriff-baring costume. She also shone in a green outfit, adorned with gold accessories and matching heels.
