🏡 Ever wondered what a cozy 20-square-meter dacha looks like inside? I found one, and it’s absolutely charming! Take a peek at this tiny wonder that’s packed with surprises! 🌿✨
In the 1930s, a small wooden cottage was built by a woman named Alma. Every warm season, until the end of her days, she came here for solitude. Sometimes she was accompanied by her older sister and niece.
The next owners tended this cozy corner for three more decades before it passed to the current owners. In honor of the original builder, it continues to be called Alma’s dacha – it sounds so touching and timeless. I have always had respect for those who respect history.

Let’s start the review?
The living space includes a kitchen, living room, bedroom and veranda. From the outside, it may seem that the house is really tiny.

Meet Elsa, the current owner. She spends every summer here with her husband and pet cat.

The interior is decorated in soft blue tones.
Elsa and her family bought the house in 2013. The design was completely different then. The couple made a number of changes, adding their own tastes and style.
They first removed the old and worn carpeting, revealing beautiful wood floors that were later painted white to enhance the space.

Notice how the combination of colors and furniture visually enlarges the room.

In the kitchen you will find only old dishes – an important decision of principle for the family.

Look at the dining table and seating area. Despite the abundance of decor, the space does not feel cluttered.

Traditional open shelves are a must-have for a Scandinavian-style kitchen. Ceramic containers store spices.

Elsa personally chose all the colors and decor. Her husband is responsible for all the renovation work.
Look at the second room.

This cabinet is about 90 years old! It is almost as old as the house.

The design here is simple, but at the same time modern.

Let’s take a walk along the veranda.

You will see many interesting little details, similar to the main house.

This table is handmade, the base is taken from an old sewing machine.

Let me show you the area around the house.

There is a toilet and a sauna here, which will warm you up on cool summer evenings.

A simple yet cozy dining area with views of nature.

You can see many homemade items on the street.

Finally, take a look at this secluded country house for a small family.
