Model and businesswoman Rosie Huntington-Whiteley doesn’t always look flawless, which she believes may be the reason she often faces rejections. She openly discussed her career setbacks on the podcast “Reign with Josh Smith.”
The 37-year-old, who has been modeling since she was 16, admitted that even after 21 years in the fashion industry, she doesn’t always get the jobs she desires.
In the past, she viewed rejection as failure. Once, she was sent home in the middle of a shoot, which caused her great pain, but now her perspective has shifted. She believes that if something doesn’t work out, it’s meant to be that way.
“There are a lot of rejections in this industry, and I’ve learned some tough lessons… Even now, I face rejection. I don’t always get the job I want, and things don’t always work out the way I’d hoped. If a job doesn’t come through, I think maybe it’s not meant for me, or I’m knocking on the wrong doors, and I start looking for opportunities elsewhere, where I’ll be accepted,” Rosie shared.
In these tough moments, Rosie found great support in her partner, Jason Statham. They’ve been together since 2009 and are raising two children—6-year-old son Jack and 2-year-old daughter Isabella. Jason taught her to stand her ground and not care about the opinions of those who don’t have her best interests at heart.
“Jason is really good at standing his ground. He’s been my rock and support. He’s taught me a lot,” said the model.
