Many people are already confident in their abilities when doing repairs in a small kitchen. After all, there is the Internet now, and it has many ideas for remodeling a small space. The only problem is to find what you personally like. But people began to understand that in a kitchen of 6 square meters you can place much more furniture and equipment than a refrigerator, a stove and a table with two chairs.
When the new owners of this apartment were about to move into their own home, they realized that they urgently needed to renovate the kitchen. Since there was very little money left after buying the apartment, they were able to allocate a modest budget for renovating the kitchen, mainly for furniture. They did all the renovation themselves.
First, they dismantled everything old. Then they laid ceramic tiles on the floor. They only left the plastic window, which was in good condition. They removed only its window sill to install a tabletop, which increased the work surface.
The old refrigerator under the window was covered with a kitchen front, which looks much better and more harmonious than plastic doors.
The battery was hidden by a screen and now all the details look one with the kitchen set. Such a screen covered the battery and fits perfectly into the interior.
The kitchen set was also decided to be white. For such a small kitchen, this is an excellent solution, because the set merges with the wall and does not overwhelm with its volumes, everything looks light and compact.
Thanks to the countertop that replaced the window sill, it is convenient to cook in the kitchen, there is space for both preparing a salad and rolling out dough. Additional lighting was installed above the upper cabinets, which is very convenient when cooking, because everything is clearly visible. The sink was installed almost in the corner, but it does not interfere.
Only the refrigerator in the corner of the kitchen does not fit into the overall design, but for now the owners do not have the opportunity to buy a new one or cover it with a kitchen facade. The only thing the owners can do is remove the magnets from the refrigerator door, which make the kitchen look old.
But the microwave oven was installed in a not very suitable place. It is difficult to reach and there is a high risk of spilling food on yourself when you take it out of the microwave.
A small TV was hung next to the refrigerator, which can be conveniently watched from any point in the kitchen.
Opposite the kitchen set, the wall was covered with patterned wallpaper. The owners want to replace the dining table and chairs with new ones. But for now, they have an old table covered with oilcloth and two chairs at their disposal.
This part of the kitchen lacks decorative elements. The wall without them looks empty, despite the printed curtains. You can hang family photos or interesting paintings here, all this could correct the shortcoming and add coziness.
