The Hollywood star with British roots isn’t afraid of change, but she has regretted one of them. Florence Pugh cut off her long blonde locks, shaving her head almost to the skin before the Met Gala red carpet last year. The new haircut took her out of her comfort zone. “Shaving my head was an attempt to reclaim my freedom and maintain my image, but then I realized it was all nonsense,” Pugh said.
The actress’s new hairstyle generated a lot of buzz, but she experienced physical discomfort. “Shaving was really strange. My head was so sensitive, and so many people wanted to touch it. My body felt injured from it. I was cold all the time,” Florence admitted.

She realized that hair is an important part of her identity and that she needs to approach radical image changes responsibly. “In many religions, hair is considered the most valuable thing on the body—it’s where you keep your memories, your dreams, and your history. I went through many aesthetic changes when making life decisions. I thought, ‘Cool, I don’t look like myself. I’ve changed. I’m changing.’ Looking back at that summer, I realized I was becoming something new,” the actress expressed.
Florence has worked hard to establish herself in Hollywood amid fierce competition. However, she has now taken a break for the first time in her hectic career, realizing that there was more to life than work. “I’m an absolute workaholic, but I see that I’m worn out. Last year, I suddenly woke up and thought, ‘I hate how much I’ve missed in my life.’ Yes, I want to have a career, but that won’t happen if I work myself to the bone,” Pugh shared.

In early September, rumors emerged about her romance with actor Finn Cole from “Peaky Blinders.” They were spotted leaving an after-party together following the premiere of “The Perfect Pair.” Florence confirmed the relationship. “Okay, there’s something I agree with. I believe magic is real when you fall in love. We’re figuring out who we really are. And I think for the first time in my life, I’m not allowing myself to ride the emotional rollercoaster. I’m taking the time for feelings to develop and be completely real to the core,” the actress told Vogue.

Now, she is promoting the film “We Live in Time,” in which she stars alongside Andrew Garfield. She confessed that after filming, she felt ready to focus on love and starting a family. “I was the right age for this film to come out. Last year, I went through a lot of strange things in relationships, and I think part of the story is not to be passive, not to let events sweep you away. I want to go and find my love, and I want to have children,” added the star of “Oppenheimer.”
