Tallulah Willis has spoken about her father’s condition. The actress admitted that she herself had to face a serious diagnosis.
The 69-year-old Die Hard actor’s family announced his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in February 2023. He retired from acting due to a battle with a brain disorder known as aphasia. Since then, Bruce has rarely appeared in public. The actor’s 30-year-old daughter has revealed details of his condition.
“He’s stable, which is a good thing about this situation. And it’s hard; there are painful days — but there’s so much love. And it’s really shown me not to take any moment for granted, and I really think we’re going to be best friends. I think he’s very proud of me,” Tallulah said.

She also stressed the importance of being present in the moment and with her father. At the same time, the actress admitted that she herself had to face a difficult situation related to health. Doctors gave her an incorrect diagnosis, and last year it was revealed that Tallulah has autism.
“I was misdiagnosed for many years, so it wasn’t until I was 29 that I was diagnosed, which is very common, especially among older women… I’m a very high-functioning autistic person, and my difficulties are largely sensory, so I’m very sensitive to the world around me, and people often assume it’s social,” Willis said.

The heiress of movie stars also described her feelings that she experienced upon learning of the diagnosis. Tallulah felt much better. She realized the nature of her own peculiarities.
“It was very emotional. It was a relief. Honestly, I really hated myself and thought I was so broken, so to realize that the parts of me that I thought were painful or wrong or just not fit for this world are actually good and they just require maybe a little more tools,” Tallulah added on Today.

Members of both of Bruce’s families surrounded him with love and care. A source close to the actor spoke about the concerns of Willis’ relatives. According to him, the actor is not given much time.
“The disease has progressed to the point where his family is worried they may not have much time left with Bruce. They wonder if he will live to see his 70th birthday,” an insider told In Touch Weekly.
