The kitchen is quite narrow. In addition to this, it is connected to the balcony. I liked this kitchen better before it was renovated. It had its own “zest” then. The kitchen walls were half painted, half whitewashed. A common occurrence in Soviet apartments. Previously, such renovations were done both in apartments and in entryways. Everything is standard!
The main purpose of the renovation work was to make the kitchen square and visually balance the proportions. As soon as the partition between the kitchen space and the balcony was removed, the kitchen acquired a look reminiscent of a train carriage. This is not very beautiful, so it was necessary to somehow change this state of affairs. There was a mosaic on one of the walls, it could have taken the focus on itself. However, it was gotten rid of and the walls were covered with tiles.
As for the color scheme, the kitchen is made in practical but boring shades. That is why it never got that special “zest”.
There are a lot of light sources on the ceiling. Such bright lighting is rare in the kitchen.
Yes, additional light is needed above the work surface to make cooking convenient, but this does not apply to the dining area. The kitchen furniture here is clear and laconic. It seems that the owners were very afraid of making design mistakes.
The refrigerator was moved to the balcony. A great solution for those who want to provide themselves with additional physical activity. After all, constantly running to the balcony for groceries is not the best option. I do not welcome curtains in the kitchen, but in this case they would not be a hindrance.
