The new ring on Kate Middleton’s finger has given rise to a host of jewellery theories, as it has never been seen on the Princess of Wales before.

An investigation that you would like to start every morning with. After Kate Middleton posted a video announcing the end of chemotherapy, the public predictably began to examine each frame under a microscope. They started with what was especially striking – for example, Princess Charlotte’s embarrassment when her parents kiss.
Later, they switched to smaller details, such as Catherine’s jewelry. The first thing that caught everyone’s eye was the absence of Princess Diana’s wedding ring with an oval Ceylon sapphire on her finger. However, this is not the first time William’s wife has taken it off. She was without jewelry during the lockdown, and even before, during sports competitions, Kate did not dare to wear the iconic piece of jewelry.

In the new video, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the future queen was wearing a thin engagement ring along with another one. Some suggested that it was a gift from Prince William, which he gave to Kate during her college years. Such jewelry is popularly known as a “promise ring.”

A gold piece with garnet and pearls symbolizes lovers. It is made in the so-called “Gypsy ring” technique, when the stone frame is set flush with the main surface. Such pieces are also usually decorated with crescents and stars, which makes it more feminine, less brutal and thus ideal for an engagement.
However, upon closer inspection, the jewelers noticed that the ring on Kate’s hand was new, as they noticed that it was decorated with alternating dark and light colored stones, and there was nothing like that in the royal jewelry box. As a result, they assumed that it was a memorable gift from William, which he presented to his wife to support her during difficult times, writes the Daily Mail.
