Born as Siamese twins and abandoned by their father, their journey was far from easy. But after a successful separation surgery, their lives took an incredible turn. 💪❤️ You will be touched to tears when you know what happened to them after surgery.
Today, sisters Anya and Tanya Korkin are already thirty years old. They are completely ordinary, pretty girls. If they didn’t tell, few would guess what they were born like. At birth, the girls had a common liver: Anya and Tanya were Siamese twins.
Their mother Vera knew that she would give birth to Siamese twins, but the pregnancy period did not allow her to do anything about it. She was terribly shocked when the doctor told her this news. In the end, the woman resigned herself to the fact that she would give birth to special children. But her husband could not resign himself: he immediately told his wife that he refused such offspring.
When the time came for the baby to be born, the man came to Vera at the maternity hospital. He hoped that the prognosis was wrong. Realizing that the doctors were telling the truth, the man left the bouquet and left. That’s how Vera’s marriage fell apart.
Many years later, the father tried to return to the family. He apologized profusely for what he had done. But Vera and the girls did not forgive him. This man had abandoned them when they needed him most in the world. Now it was too late. Vera had managed on her own.
Doctors knew that the girls would have to be separated. But not everyone was qualified to do this. A surgeon named Lev Novokreshenov decided to undertake the complex operation, despite all the risks. He thought that he would definitely be able to do everything right.
The girls were thirty-seven days old when the separation surgery was performed. There is only one photo left of them joined together. Everything went well, despite some side effects from the surgery. Anya and Tanya successfully overcame all difficulties and survived.
The girls’ childhood fell on a very difficult time. Their mother had to work very hard to provide for the family. But she coped quite well. Until Anya and Tanya turned fourteen, they were constantly monitored by doctors who were afraid of the consequences of separation. But the girls were absolutely healthy, which was confirmed by the results of numerous examinations and tests. For some time, they had to follow a special diet to maintain their health, but gradually they were able to stop doing this. Now the sisters lead a completely normal life.
The girls recently turned thirty. Neither of them has a family yet, but the sisters don’t care at all. The girls look completely different. If you don’t know, it’s hard to tell at first glance that they are twins. Anya and Tanya didn’t try to maintain a resemblance to each other, each of them chose the style that suits her.
The sisters love each other very much, but they are still separate – and completely different – individuals. They do not have that “special bond” that is always mentioned when talking about twins. Despite this, the girls have a very good relationship, they always try to support each other and miss each other when they have to be apart.
In honor of the doctor who once performed such a difficult operation, a memorial was opened in Chelyabinsk: a memorial plaque. It should remind people of the feat that this man accomplished.
