British musician Elton John attended the International Film Festival in Toronto, where he barely held back tears. It was the first public appearance of the legendary singer since it was announced that he had partially lost his vision.
According to foreign media, Elton John was deeply moved after the world premiere of the documentary about his life. The documentary, titled “Elton John: Never Too Late,” directed by R.J. Cutler and Elton’s husband David Furnish, chronicles the musician’s decades-long career and shows his preparation for his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. It also documents his love story with Canadian director Furnish, who officially married Elton in 2014.

After the film screening, John was overwhelmed with emotion, telling the audience, “What I love about this film is that I have him (Furnish) and I have two sons.” He continued, “I am very proud of what I have achieved,” said the musician, pausing to hold back tears.
“I hope to continue making music, but I want to be at home with them, see them, and appreciate them. It’s the greatest feeling I’ve ever had in my life, more than having a number one album on the Billboard chart. That was really nice for five minutes, but this is a whole life,” Elton John emphasized. The singer also joked about his eye, telling the audience, “I’m having the best time of my life, except for this f****** eye. I wish I could see you.”
