During the holiday season, the well-known musician Michael Bolton shared a worrisome health update, announcing that he underwent surgery for a brain tumor.
Towards the end of last week, the singer of “When a Man Loves a Woman” took to social media, extending well wishes for the new year and revealing unexpected challenges he faced in 2023.
Bolton disclosed, “Shortly before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, necessitating immediate surgical intervention.”
Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of my medical team, the procedure was successful, and I am currently recuperating at home with the unwavering love and support of my family.
Bolton indicated that he will be taking a break to focus on his recovery at home following the surgery, which unfortunately will impact his upcoming tour schedule.
The singer stated, “I will be devoting my time and energy to recuperation in the coming months, necessitating a temporary hiatus from touring.”
While it is always difficult for me to cancel a show or disappoint my fans, I am committed to expediting my recovery and returning to the stage as soon as possible,” he added.

With a staggering 75 million records sold, the renowned American singer is best known for his hit songs, including “Said I Loved You,” “When a Man Loves a Woman,” and “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.”
The 70-year-old was slated to kick off a new tour in February, with planned stops in Switzerland, the US, the UK, and Canada.
