The 44-year-old Channing Tatum and 43-year-old Jenna Dewan, who announced their separation back in 2018, are still unable to finalize their divorce. The couple continuously finds new reasons to argue in court, and the process drags on—almost like Jolie and Pitt. They have both moved on with new partners, and Jenna has even had two children with her new boyfriend. However, the ex-spouses still can’t settle the division of their assets and finances and continue to dispute child support.
Recently, Channing filed a new petition to protest Jenna’s request for spousal support and an increase in child support payments for their 11-year-old daughter, Everly. Channing claims Jenna’s demands are absurd. They have been separated for six years, and Jenna is living with her new partner, Steve Kazee, with whom she is officially engaged. Although they haven’t had an official wedding yet, Jenna and Steve have long been a family and are raising two children together.
Furthermore, according to Tatum, Jenna’s new financial demands are outrageously unfair. He has already paid her millions of dollars during the divorce process, and she will receive a substantial amount once the final division of assets is complete. Besides alimony, Jenna is also claiming half of the enormous income generated by Channing’s highly successful franchise, “Magic Mike.”
The franchise includes two sequels, a live show in Las Vegas, and a television reality show, with advertising contracts based on the franchise continuing to bring in revenue. Jenna wants half of the massive profits from “Magic Mike.” While she is entitled to this since the film was made while they were still married, Channing argues that he has invested a fortune into the development of the franchise and believes his share should be significantly larger. Regarding child support for their daughter, Channing flatly refuses to pay. He stated that he already fully covers her school tuition, extracurricular activities, insurance, vacation expenses, medical costs, and other expenses.
