**Court Issues Important Ruling Regarding Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Daughter**
A significant update concerning 18-year-old Shiloh, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has brought joy to her mother and deep disappointment to her father. Brad had hoped until the last moment that Shiloh might change her decision, which caused him considerable pain. But now it’s official: the court has granted Shiloh’s request to drop her father’s surname. According to the court ruling, her name will no longer be listed as “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt” on official documents, as it was recorded on her birth certificate, but simply as “Shiloh Jolie.”
Brad learned that Shiloh wanted to remove his surname from her name in early May. She filed her request with the court the day after turning 18, when she gained the legal right to make such a change. It was particularly bitter for Pitt, given that Shiloh—being the eldest biological child of Jolie and Pitt—was always his favorite. He had hoped to maintain a good relationship with her after his divorce from Jolie. Unfortunately, it seems that even Shiloh has been influenced to side against him.
Shiloh had to wait patiently for her name change, which was supposed to be resolved in June but was delayed until August due to a technical error in the paperwork. It’s worth noting that Shiloh is not the first of the six Pitt-Jolie children to remove their father’s surname.
The first to do so was the eldest, 22-year-old Maddox, who requested the change in 2021. Since then, three more children have expressed a desire to drop their father’s name: 20-year-old Pax Thien, 19-year-old Zahara, and 15-year-old Vivienne. However, it is unclear whether the two older children who have received permission have completed the official process.
