Shannen Doherty, the star of the TV series “Beverly Hills, 90210,” who recently passed away after a long illness, had specific plans for her body after death. She shared these plans during an episode of her candid podcast *Let’s Be Clear* earlier this year. In a conversation with her close friend and executor of her will, Kris Cortazzo, Shannen expressed her wishes regarding her remains. She said that she wanted to be cremated and discussed what should be done with her ashes.
“I haven’t quite figured it out… It’s such a painful conversation, but at the same time, it’s kind of fun. I want to be mixed with my dog, and I want my dog to be mixed with my dad. I don’t want to be buried; I want to be cremated. I read that you can take the ashes and grow a tree…,” Doherty said.
She also mentioned needing to find a special place that she and her father loved and that meant a lot to them. Additionally, Shannen shared her thoughts on her funeral, insisting that the guest list be kept as short as possible.
“I think many people will come who I don’t want to see there. I don’t want them to come because their reasons aren’t necessarily the best. They don’t like me very much, and they have their reasons for that, which is fine, but they don’t like me enough to come to my funeral,” the actress stated.
Shannen Doherty was preparing for her death, though she hoped for breakthroughs in medicine and new treatments. Recently, she had been selling and giving away her belongings and furniture so that her mother wouldn’t have to deal with it later.
