Christina Applegate, the star of the series *Dead to Me*, who suffers from an incurable illness and has lost her zest for life, admitted that she once underwent surgery due to a producer’s comments. The actress mentioned that it was a well-known person who had produced many famous films and series. In the latest episode of her podcast, Applegate revealed that she had plastic surgery after a renowned producer commented on her appearance.
“I was on a show, and one of the producers… a very well-known person who also produced a very well-known show… said, ‘Hey, we have a lighting issue under your eyes. You have such big bags under your eyes,'” the 52-year-old Applegate shared.
He also added, “I suggest you get them removed.” The actress explained that the bags under her eyes were hereditary. Applegate joked that her father has Louis Vuitton bags under his eyes. But after the producer’s comments, she felt pressured and went to see a surgeon.
“At 27, I had the only plastic surgery I’ve ever had, to remove the bags under my eyes,” the actress revealed.
Christina also added that the producer made her feel ashamed and planted seeds of doubt about her appearance.
Recall that in 2021, Christina Applegate first learned of her diagnosis—multiple sclerosis. Applegate is now forced to use a cane and has expressed feeling ashamed of this in her podcast.
