Bill and Glad have been together for over 50 years. They faced many challenges throughout their life together, including an unfortunate turn of events in 2004 when the woman’s health began to deteriorate at an alarming rate and she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Despite all this, what they always had in common was their love of riding bicycles.
The couple spent most of their life together outdoors, mostly riding bicycles.
The man recalls that bicycles were an integral part of their lives, and when Glad was no longer as active as she used to be, it seemed that their active holiday was over
Now the woman cannot move independently without falling.
However, Bill was not going to give up and tried to do everything possible for his wife
During this difficult time, a man had the idea to build a special bicycle that could allow a person unable to move to cycle.
Bill drew a sketch of a bicycle and turned to his friend, who created this “bicycle chair”
Based on the man’s sketch, his friend modified the bicycle, turning it into a chair attached to another bicycle, driven by Bill
Thanks to this invention, the couple continues to take bike rides, which they love so much.
“I don’t consider it a burden, I consider it a great privilege to care for someone I have loved all these years. She’s my princess,” Bill explained.
