In the West, they believe that in this photo a German soldier and a Red Army woman are kissing at a parade in 1939. What’s really happening?
Answer in the post:
You will be surprised how easily fakes are created and spread across the Internet. Or maybe not – in the 21st century we are already scientists. One way or another, the photograph in which a German soldier and a Red Army woman merged in a kiss gradually gained popularity. She has already been illustrated with serious historical materials about the relationship between the USSR and Germany in 1939. More than once we have seen in Western groups (and on one domestic forum) an indication that the photograph was taken on September 22, 1939 at a parade in Brest. Is it so? Well, let’s figure it out.
No, of course not. And here I move on to the unpleasant – the falsification of history. The photo, which now flashes here and there, was actually taken in 2007 in Sevastopol. And it was originally colored. Someone specially made it black and white and removed unnecessary details. In the photo – judging by the reviews of eyewitnesses, a husband and wife, Muscovites, who specially came to Crimea for the historical reconstruction of the decisive battle for Sevastopol in May 1944. There was even a story about this event on Channel One. Everything happened on Sapun Mountain.
Reenactors are meticulous people. As many people said in the same story on Channel One – real helmets and cloth uniforms, as close as possible to the real thing. True, some unfortunate skeptics do not believe in the explanations about historical reconstruction in Crimea. On one forum, someone even wrote: “Your version does not add up, there is no such frame in the video you suggested. And for a simple reason – a wife doesn’t kiss her husband like that, but at least she could hug a German, or what?”
Well, wives kiss their husbands in different ways. As for this particular couple, here is a photo of them together, in color – fortunately, they have been preserved. The origin of the fake is already difficult to trace. It most likely originated from a Romanian publication about the parade/ceremonial withdrawal, where a photograph of a German and a Red Army soldier, now in black and white, is used along with original footage from 1939. Well, then the photo went for a walk on the Internet – it ended up on Pinterest, public pages, Reddit.
