Old man Ion Negrila lived in this dilapidated hut, which was completely unsuitable for habitation. Representatives of local authorities visited him more than once and offered to help him find another home.
However, the man refused them every time, because for him it was not just an old house to be demolished. This was the place where he lived a happy life with his beloved wife, who passed away back in 2006.
He didn’t want to move out of there even though the roof could collapse on his head at any moment.
Caring people were very worried about the old man, so they decided to tell his story on the Internet. Together we raised 1000 euros. Since the man categorically refused to leave his favorite place, the volunteers decided to build a new home on the site of the old house.
Now, in place of the dilapidated, uninhabitable hut, there is a small modern container with all the amenities.
