We are used to seeing everything in the same way, and therefore we are dumb when we have to look differently. As an example, a simple test – weakly guess from a black and white photograph which of the spoons is actually red?

Some people solve the problem in a couple of seconds, while others can’t believe it even when you show them the answer. And the most intriguing thing is that none of the experts can explain this phenomenon. There are a lot of versions, for example, that the red tint is in the lower part of the spectrum, with a long wavelength, and therefore spreads more slowly and looks the same.
