A man turned this old street toilet into a luxurious one. He did a European quality renovation. The result will amaze you… I bet You have never seen such transformation before…
People today expect comfort and convenience, even when they are at their summer cottages. Anything that can make their life easier and easier becomes an integral part of the dacha experience. Particularly important comfort attributes are water, electricity and, of course, a toilet.
Several years ago, when we purchased our summer cottage, there was only a small barn, a summer kitchen and a horribly old toilet. It was so unpleasant to use that we tried to avoid this place.
However, we recently decided to change the situation. We started renovating our summer cottage, and the first thing we had to do was the toilet. My husband decided not to just renovate the old toilet, but to completely build a new one. He also decided to make a high-quality renovation inside, and we can say that this was a real European-quality renovation compared to the previous state of the toilet.
Despite the fact that the toilet was left on the street, I am completely satisfied with its new condition. My husband created it himself using materials that were found in our home and on the site. There was no need to buy anything.
The base of the toilet was made from wooden planks and blocks which I then painted. The roof is made of tin and is also painted by us. The door is made of plywood and we attached an old door handle to it. We also found a vanity unit for the sink at our house.
The toilet and sink ended up in the garage after we renovated the apartment and replaced all the plumbing. Instead of throwing out the old ones, my husband decided to keep these items, and it turned out to be the right decision.
Today we already have a bathroom in the house itself, providing complete comfort in the country. However, we kept the outdoor toilet. And suddenly the idea came that my husband could earn a little extra money by offering his services to summer residents, creating for them the same comfortable and functional toilets on their plots. This would not only be a way to earn extra money, but also a business that would benefit other people.
