Elderly people get used to the old environment and stop noticing how the furnishings and the apartment itself are deteriorating. The main character, a girl, decided to renovate her elderly mother’s home and create a comfortable, updated space for her.
Hallway
To refresh the interior, mostly light colors were chosen for the apartment. The cramped and dark hallway began to seem more spacious and cheerful from the light decoration. The floor has beautiful porcelain tiles with underfloor heating.
The corridor is finished not only with porcelain stoneware, but also with engineered wood. To the left of the front door there is an open section for outerwear, under it there is a mini-bench with a shelf. Along the main corridor we go to the dressing room.
Living room
The previous room was very dark, but changing the color of the trim literally transformed it. The floor matches the color of the floor in the hallway. There is a sofa at the entrance and a TV area opposite. There is a dining area by the window.
Kitchen
Gray kitchen furniture set made in Sweden from the IKEA brand. The window sill is a continuation of the countertop made of quartz agglomerate. It is convenient to have breakfast or a snack in private here. The apron in the wet area is made of white tiles in a herringbone pattern.
Bedroom
It was important for the owner to feel like she was in a country house. The gorgeous view from the window and wallpaper with flowers and birds enhanced this feeling. There is ample storage to the right of the door. The cabinet is recessed into a special niche and looks built-in.
Bathroom
The wet part of the bathroom is finished with raised tiles. Light blue moisture-resistant paint was applied to other walls. The floor features a patterned tile design similar to the one in the entryway.
