Join us on a journey of renewal as we collaborate to revitalize the neglected exterior of a charming home. Witness the transformation unfold step by step!
Before

The interior of this neglected home held much promise, but its exterior suffered from numerous issues, including unsightly paint colors, a worn-out awning, unnecessary small column supports, and an overgrown yard that often obscured the house from view. It was clear that the house needed a makeover to regain its former charm and vitality.
Partnering with my associate, Rob S., we embarked on a project to revitalize the exterior of the house. We started by removing the outdated awnings and small column supports on the porch. Next, we repainted the exterior and installed shutters on the second floor to enhance its visual appeal. To define the property’s boundaries and improve its curb appeal, we constructed custom fencing around the front yard. On the porch, we installed new column tops and additional lighting to create a welcoming ambiance.
After

One of the highlights of the renovation was restoring the original 1905 mahogany front door. After stripping away decades of old stain and dirt, we refinished it to reveal its natural beauty, giving it a radiant glow. Additionally, we tackled the overgrown shrubs and trees in the yard, ensuring that the house was no longer hidden from view but instead stood prominently in its surroundings.
The most challenging aspect of the exterior remodel was striking the right balance between enhancement and preservation. We were mindful not to overdo the renovations, opting instead to maintain the home’s simple elegance and architectural integrity. Our goal was to create a clean, modern, and crisp aesthetic that complemented the house’s design without overwhelming it. By allowing the home’s character to shine through, we achieved a transformation that turned a once dismal, dark, and unwelcoming house into a happy and inviting home, reminiscent of its former glory days.
