Before
Landscaping: Mark revitalized the property’s landscape by removing towering Norway spruce trees and creating vibrant front and side yard beds filled with rhododendron, azalea, barberry, juniper, and maiden grass. He also enhanced the driveway with crushed stone and replaced deteriorated concrete walkways.
Porch: By removing screen panels and a space-consuming vestibule, Mark restored the porch’s original elegance, showcasing the glass-paneled front door as the focal point of the facade.
Paint: Opting to paint over the existing asbestos siding with Benjamin Moore’s Antique Pewter, Mark preserved valuable insulation while enhancing trim details with White Mountains and Townsend Harbor Brown for a striking contrast.
Windows: Mark replaced drafty 1960s-era windows upstairs with fiberglass double-hungs featuring period-appropriate grille patterns. To seamlessly integrate new windows, he crafted custom trim pieces to accommodate the 19th-century woodwork, ensuring a meticulous restoration process.
