Before

Tim and Wendy Hogan undertook a two-and-a-half-year project to revamp the exterior and yard of their 1926 bungalow in Oregon. With Tim’s construction skills and Wendy’s design vision, they turned the drab fixer-upper into a vibrant and charming home.
After

Paint: Wendy opted for bold colors, choosing a custom-mixed Sherwin-Williams green for the siding and brown for the trim. She added pops of color with Benjamin Moore’s Caribbean Blue Water on the stoop risers and a vibrant citrus shade on the entry door.
Landscaping: The Hogans started by taming overgrown boxwoods to create an entry garden filled with colorful foliage plants. Wendy crafted a new path using cobblestones found in the yard.
Dormers: Tim installed full-length front and back shed dormers to increase ceiling height and floor space upstairs while maintaining the original facade’s character and proportions. He drew inspiration from the original dormer for the windows and roofline of the addition.
