Two years ago, I embarked on a journey as a homeowner, purchasing a charming 1918 Dutch Colonial residence. Eager to infuse new life into the property, I wasted no time in launching a series of remodeling projects.
The exterior received a fresh makeover, with a new coat of paint revitalizing its appearance. Outdated shutters were replaced, adding a touch of elegance to the facade. One of the highlights of the renovation was the creation of a Dutch door, lending a quaint and welcoming ambiance to the entryway. Additionally, I ingeniously repurposed the original front door into a delightful porch swing, perfect for enjoying lazy afternoons.

In tandem with the exterior upgrades, landscaping received a makeover, starting with the front yard and gradually extending to the sides and rear of the house. Each enhancement was carefully planned and executed to enhance the home’s curb appeal and create a harmonious outdoor space.
A stroke of luck came in the form of a hailstorm last summer, resulting in the installation of a new roof that perfectly complemented the envisioned aesthetic of the house. Now, as I gaze upon my meticulously restored Dutch Colonial, it stands as a testament to my vision and dedication to preserving its timeless charm.
