Before the renovation, Katie Brashear-Nihart’s stepfather painstakingly recreated the original_wraparound_porch of this Folk_Victorian_house dating back to around1874.

After the renovation, Brashear-Nihart shared, “We are only the third family to own it.” She explained that the previous owners had made significant_alterations, including removing much of the original porch due to rot instead of repairing it. However, they provided a picture of a painting depicting the exterior as it appeared in 1950, which served as inspiration for the renovation project. Over six months, they meticulously renovated the facade to closely resemble the image, even using tongue-and-groove_hemlock_flooring to match the original_porch.
