Approximately a year after settling into their residence in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the homeowners decided it was time to revamp their cluttered French country kitchen. The space was burdened with ornate cabinetry, an excess of accessories, and a suspended pot rack. Seeking a refresh without a complete overhaul, they enlisted the expertise of designer Melissa Haynes.
After
Haynes embarked on a transformation by simplifying the kitchen, introducing clean, white cabinetry, and enhancing storage with an island makeover. To infuse energy into the space, she incorporated lively green accents, such as the celadon_backsplash_and_vibrant barstools. The choice of durable materials, including quartz_countertops_and_Sunbrella_fabrics, ensures the kitchen can withstand the rigors of family life for many years to come.

The timeless charm of this older home was overshadowed by a kitchen that failed to make the most of its high_ceilings and abundant_natural_light. The warm-toned cabinetry_clashed with the blue_island, while the brick_detailing_above the oven added a dated touch to the space.
After
Designer_Suzanne_Kasler intervened by replacing the cabinetry with white Shaker-style cabinets and painting the walls in a serene hue, resulting in a fresh and airy_ambiance_without altering the layout. Glass_door_fronts were introduced to lighten the main wall, while the island was elevated with legs reminiscent of a dining table, serving as a striking focal point. Kasler incorporated texture into the predominantly white color scheme with white marble_countertops and a tiled_backsplash.

When Susan and Jeff Johnson bought their four-bedroom cottage_in_Nashville,_Tennessee, they aimed to modernize it while ensuring it remained suitable for their expanding family. Collaborating with designer Gen Sohr, they set out to free their kitchen from its dark_cabinetry and outdated appliances.
After
Sohr achieved this by eliminating the wall with a pass-through window, seamlessly connecting the kitchen to the adjoining living area. The resulting space is open, bright, and inviting, with glass-front doors to compensate for the lack_of_natural_light. The quartz countertops offer the luxurious appearance of marble without the high cost or demanding upkeep, while the spacious island_provides ample room for cooking, socializing, and homework. Red_metal_stools and a blue trellis-print rug inject character and vibrancy into the otherwise white_space, ensuring it exudes_personality.
