The wife of dementia sufferer Bruce Willis admitted how her husband’s illness affected her attitude towards herself.

The progressive dementia of Bruce Willis not only brought his entire family together, including even his ex- and current wives, who together take care of the actor, but also seriously forced his loved ones to reconsider their attitude towards the health of themselves and those around them. More than once, both Demi Moore and the daughters of “Die Hard” have called on people to pay attention to such an unfortunate illness that literally takes a person away from their relatives. And the day before, the beloved Hollywood star Emma Heming revealed how her husband’s illness affected her.

In a conversation with People, Emma admitted that before she paid much less attention to “brain health” and could not even think about the importance of this issue – after all, celebrities talk much more about caring for the body. “My doctor will talk to me about my breast health, my cholesterol, my heart, but not my brain. I had never heard the term ‘brain health’ before,” she shared. But since Bruce’s diagnosis was confirmed, Heming has completely reconsidered her attitude towards health, including her own.

Now, Emma says, she tries to be sensitive to her feelings – this helps her stay healthy, and spend her free time helping the sick Willis. In addition, Heming also helps many other people whose loved ones suffer from dementia. And the actress’s family is very supportive of this. “Giving back to people who are in the same position and who are partners of patients means a lot to me,” Emma added.

By the way, Emma is currently writing a book , which she was inspired by her new role as a care partner. Thus, Bruce Willis’s beloved wants to support people who find themselves in a similar position and help them understand how to live when a loved one is sick.
