How the appearance of the old Moscow building was changed (photos before and after)

This renovation will definitely inspire you to remodel your apartment.

The most “killed” apartment can, if desired, be transformed so that you won’t recognize it. Designer converted this Moscow “Stalinist” building into a cozy home for a family with children.

Let’s see how she managed to place three bedrooms, a living room, a wardrobe, a storage room and two bathrooms on 86 square meters.

Layout

The original appearance of this apartment was quite typical for a Stalinist building: high ceilings, three square rooms and a long corridor with a bathroom and kitchen at the end. It was the corridor that they decided to abandon, which made it possible to organize a fourth room and utility rooms.

The kitchen was quite legitimately moved into the hallway and combined with the living room, expanded thanks to the attached balcony.

Enfilades

It was decided to turn the kitchen-living room and both children’s rooms into an enfilade – a formal layout. This allows parents to always be aware of what their children are doing in their rooms.

Another suite was designed in the bedroom. It was divided into a sleeping area, a dressing room and a home office with a pouf

Storage system

In the closet at the entrance to the apartment there is a mop, a vacuum cleaner and sports equipment. Mom, dad and daughter have wardrobes, and the son has a built-in wardrobe.

A laundry room was set up in a niche in the hallway, for which there were no square meters in the bathrooms.

Finishing

The walls were made in gray and contrasting colors with an emphasis on the ceiling and floor. At the same time, the dark ceiling in the living room area became the connecting element of the interior.
