Designer improved the layout and updated the interior.
Briefly
Designer Olga Vodeneeva completely redid the interior of a two-room apartment in a secondary building. For customers – a family with a school-aged son – this is a place of relaxation and recuperation. The area is small, only 60 square meters. m, and the main task was to visually expand the space and make it light. As a result, the interior has a Scandinavian character, using natural colors and materials.

Details
The redevelopment of the apartment was minor. In the kitchen, the opening was moved from the center towards the children’s room, thus creating space for installing a dishwasher, and in the hallway it was possible to place a convenient storage system up to the ceiling and opposite a backlit mirror.
In the parents’ bedroom, the opening was widened to the ceiling, removing the door leaf. On the corridor side, the partition was extended and a door was installed in it. So the parents got their own private dressing room. In the nursery, at the request of the youngest family member, a low partition was made that divides the room into two parts: one part is a bed and a workspace, the other is a storage area up to the ceiling and a folding sofa.
Corner kitchen. The storage system in it has two tiers: lower cabinets and upper cabinets. The countertop and window sill are made of artificial stone, the sink is under-mounted. Opposite they placed a large oak veneer dining table and upholstered wooden chairs. The kitchen has built-in appliances: oven, hob, hood, microwave and dishwasher. There is a freestanding steel-colored refrigerator by the window.

At the request of the customers’ son, the children’s room was divided into two zones – a bedroom with a workspace and a living room. There are several lighting scenarios in the room: a white track with rotating lamps in the living room area, a glass chandelier in the sleeping area, a black metal sconce in the form of a cube on the wall at the entrance and a sconce with a rotating mechanism and USB charging above the bedside table.

Swedish wallpaper with natural patterns was used behind the head of the bed, engineered wood in a natural oak color was laid on the floor, and the ceilings were painted with white matte paint.

The bathroom area is only 2.7 square meters. m, and a toilet – 1 sq. m, but during the implementation process we managed to provide the space with everything necessary for a family. Opposite the shower counter, niches were made of porcelain tiles and mosaics for storing shampoos and soap accessories. Above the washing machine there is a module for storing household chemicals and a niche for storing decor. To the right of the entrance, a sink and cabinet with a similar oak texture were installed.

Spanish porcelain tiles were laid on the heated floor, and they were also glued into the niche where outerwear hangs on hooks. The wall can be easily wiped clean from moisture and dirt. In the hallway, an engineered board borders the porcelain stoneware floor. The ceiling in the hallway and corridor is single and made of gypsum board – it was lowered by 10 cm.
