We found an excellent example of converting an old dacha into a modern and very cozy country space: Scandinavian style is responsible for order here, and brass items that are trendy this season are responsible for chic.
Repairing a dacha is not an easy task: once started, it risks dragging on for several years. But the owners of a house in Los Angeles proved the opposite: wanting to make their new home cozy in a Scandinavian way, they without hesitation set about renovating and achieved the desired result within five months. After all, creating a cozy nest without going broke on renovations is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.
White-white
The renovation of the living room began with a change in the interior layout: by getting rid of unnecessary partitions in the kitchen area, the owners expanded the space of the room. The interior of the living room began to seem larger also due to white – the main color in the palette. Snow-white walls, a white suspended ceiling and milky furniture filled the interior with light and air.
Scandinavian chic
Covered with durable laminate, the floor blends well with other wooden surfaces in the living room – table top, table, chairs and coffee table. The combination of white and coffee colors is a fresh and very modern solution, which is complemented by contrasting checkerboard accents: this is a black and white rug, and a zig-zag pattern on curtains and decorative pillows. And brass accessories in the form of floor lamps make the country interior more elegant.
With your own hands
The couple did not have much money, and therefore tried to save on everything. For example, they made a door from an old bunk bed and purchased new furniture from IKEA. The practical children’s room continues the living room interior, duplicating the combination of white and coffee colors. Built-in beds save interior space, freeing up space for games and entertainment.
Cozy minimalism
In the master bedroom, the harmony of white and coffee shades is diluted with gray: it can be seen on the soft upholstery of the bed and photo wallpaper decorating the headboard. The minimalist interior is complemented by several accessories – wall lamps, a mirror and a two-color carpet.
