Snow-white walls
Discussing the upcoming renovation, the couple decided to make the bathroom interior more functional and focus on natural light in the room. To achieve this, Gwen painted the walls a soft shade of white, decorating the lower part with slightly darker classic tiles. According to the girl, tiles on the bathroom walls are a must because they are so easy to keep clean, especially if you have children.
To create a smooth transition from the top to the bottom of the wall, Gwen laid the tiles over a layer of thin drywall. This helped her avoid seams and unevenness.
Patterned tiles
Choosing a pattern for floor tiles was not difficult, but calculating how many tiles would be needed was not an easy task. In order not to make mistakes in the calculations, Gwen drew a diagram of the future pattern of the floor tiles. She scaled the sketch up to the actual floor dimensions and ended up needing three sets of white tiles, two beige and one black for the 15 square metres.
Bright dressing table
Gwen also updated the vanity by painting it a rich dark color. Against the background of the pastel palette of the interior, the dressing table creates a harmonious accent, while highlighting the shades of the floor tiles. And the nickel handles of the table go well with other metal surfaces in the bathroom.
Finishing touches
It’s surprising, but with a little updating of accessories, Gwen managed to change the bathroom beyond recognition. New fixtures, faucets and mirrors have transformed the bathroom, giving it a classic and luxurious look.
