Apartment of heroes before renovation
Before the renovation, it was an ordinary apartment with a set of typical problems. Modest municipal decoration and planning errors emphasized the shortcomings of standard housing.

We are starting renovations: redevelopment
The architect organized the living room in a small room in the center of the apartment. I also set up a workplace there. The room has become a transformer: the shelving unit divides the space into two zones – an office and a living room. “If you need more space in the living room, the shelving can be moved,” says Ruslan. “The office area can easily be transformed, and the desk becomes a dining table.”
The bedroom area turned out to be large, so it was possible to place a thin partition here and arrange a dressing room.

The bathroom remained separate, but the architect changed the configuration of the dividing partition and found a place for a washbasin in the restroom. Dismantling the sanitary cabin allowed us to add a little space – 5-6 cm at the walls.
What else has changed in the apartment?
Changed the electrics
We planned a convenient light switching system
For example, the light in the hallway can now be turned off from the bedroom.
Replaced pipes and installed combs
Now the water pressure will not change when different points are turned on.

The apartment now has a water heated towel rail
And electric heated floor.

Made soundproofing
Installed internal fans
They pump air and remove it directly into the ventilation shaft.

Remodeled the bathroom
- They left the separated bathroom , but added a small washbasin to the toilet.
- To save space, we installed a toilet with hidden installation.
- Exhaust air intake points appeared in each wet zone.

Leveled the walls
Replaced all materials with natural ones
PVC window sills were replaced with wooden ones, and linoleum with porcelain tiles and parquet boards. “According to my idea, only natural materials were to be used in the finishing of the project, and the work should be carried out by a professional contractor,” comments the architect.
Thought out a color scheme
