As you know, repairs are expensive. But this does not mean that interior renovation should be put on the back burner. We have a solution: we’ll tell you how to remodel your bedroom on a budget.
When it comes to quick and budget renovation, most of us think of IKEA, because the Swedish company’s furniture is not that expensive and is of good quality and has a large selection. Today we will tell you how to update your bedroom interior on a budget, turning it into a stylish room from the catalog.
Start of renovation
Anna and her husband had long dreamed of updating the interior of their bedroom: the room seemed cramped and uncomfortable to them, and the furniture merging with the pastel shade of the walls made the interior boring. The couple wanted to “revive” the bedroom interior, make it more colorful and interesting, while staying within a limited budget.

Color replacement
First of all, the couple updated the main color of the bedroom, preferring the traditional milky shade of white in the Scandinavian style. At the same time, they painted one of the walls of the room in a rich gray-blue tone, which added volume to the small space. And parquet flooring has become a functional replacement for carpet, because it is easier to keep clean.

Beautiful doesn’t mean expensive
Since the renovation was on a budget, the newlyweds bought most of the furniture at IKEA. This includes a bed, a desk, bedside tables, and a spacious glossy wardrobe. As a result, furniture in light colors and simple shapes creates a fresh and modern Scandinavian interior.

With your own hands
Anna only updated many of the interior items or made them with her own hands. For example, she inherited a yellow chair and a vintage mirror from her grandfather: the girls just updated the accessories and successfully integrated them into the interior. But the cute polka dot lamps and the painting above the bed are handmade.

Bright accents
To make the interior colorful and varied, the couple added color through accessories. Bright yellow pillows and a chair, curtains with a playful print, lamps and a small painting – there are not many accessories, and therefore the variety of colors does not seem tasteless. On the contrary, natural shades of blue, yellow, green and brown harmonize perfectly against the background of white – the main color of the interior palette.
