You won’t believe your eyes when you see the before photo.
The customer, a young woman with two children, was moving from a larger apartment to a smaller one. Therefore, designer was faced with the task of providing many storage systems for existing things, as well as arranging a separate room for each family member. The common living room had to be sacrificed.
The apartment is located in a house built in 1928 with wooden floors. Redevelopment was impossible, so we worked with the available space. The project was completed in four months. In the living rooms they made a bedroom and two children’s rooms.
The kitchen is insulated, with gas – a hatch was made in the apron to access the pipes. The set is custom made in a beautiful green color. It has a built-in refrigerator, washing machine and dishwasher. The room is elongated and narrow: the customer often has guests, so it was necessary to provide additional seating. The designer placed two places in continuation of the kitchen countertop along the window.
All walls were painted, wallpaper was used on accent walls in the bedrooms, and moldings were used in the hallway. Classic small format tiles were installed in the bathroom. On the floor in the living rooms there is an engineered board, in the corridor and kitchen there are tiles with patterns, and the pattern of the tiles in the corridor echoes the facades of the cabinets.
For the bedroom, the designer chose a rich blue color for the walls and cabinets and spectacular wallpaper with a tropical print – it definitely won’t be boring. The space is balanced by another part of the room, painted in a calmer shade.
For her newborn son, the customer wanted to decorate a full room right away. For decoration, we chose a beautiful fresco on the accent wall.
The room of my 12-year-old daughter was decorated with a fresco with cranes. The color palette of the interior is quite neutral; the young housewife will be able to add details to her taste. This room has a small balcony on which a relaxation area has been organized in good weather.
Storage systems are provided in each room. The hallway, although narrow, has a storage system 40 cm deep. At the entrance there are hangers for outerwear, a seat and a closet for shoes. Next is a system of cabinets and at the end of the cabinet there are shelves for books – the customer has a lot of them.
A place of honor in the interior is occupied by the customer’s prints and paintings, which the designer placed in the hallway, kitchen and nursery. Each painting was framed.
The toilet and bathroom are separate, very small. Decorated in different styles: the bathroom is English style with tiles with decorative inserts and muted colors. The bathroom is eclectic with striking fish wallpaper and black wall panels.
