Fitness trainer Sebastian Lagree is known not only for his original training program, but also for his status as a star trainer from Los Angeles. He worked with Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears, Courteney Cox – and this is not a complete list of his clients. The expert told the Daily Mail how to keep fit without going to the gym. And his first piece of advice is to stay away from fitness centers if you’re new to the sport. “A lot of people think they need to exercise for an hour every day. I understand because I train this way myself. But in the beginning, you don’t have to do that,” the fitness guru explained.
Sebastien is confident that you can get in shape without leaving home. The trainer recommends simple exercises: lunges, squats, bridges, push-ups and planks. “Every morning when you wake up, do a plank position for one minute. This is a great way to prepare your body for a long day. The plank has always been one of my favorite core exercises,” explains the expert.
Sebastien is confident that a sudden transition from inactivity to intense training in the gym can be a fatal mistake. “In the beginning, you need to find some activities that you enjoy. If it’s just walking, that’s fine. Walking is much better than sitting on the couch. You should find the type of physical activity that is close to you, explains the fitness guru. “If you’re going to do something every day, you have to love doing it.” It shouldn’t feel like a chore. You have to find something you’re passionate about.” And if activity alone is difficult, the specialist advises doing it with a friend. So it will be awkward to skip class again.
In the area of nutrition, the trainer recommends starting not with strict diets, but with careful food selection. For example, ask yourself: Do I really want to eat something that can sit on a supermarket shelf for two years without going bad? Sebastian Lagree emphasized that celebrities have no special secret. All that distinguishes them is their thinking.
“It’s just a mentality, and I think it’s a common denominator that all the successful people I’ve coached have: movie stars, athletes or CEOs of top companies.” According to the specialist, Jennifer Aniston, for example, clearly understands that a beautiful body is much more important to her than a piece of cake, so giving up excess carbohydrates is not particularly difficult for her.
