“Charlie’s Angels” star Drew Barrymore knows firsthand what a childhood without inhibitions is. The actress became famous after starring in Steven Spielberg’s E.T. when she was only seven. Having become famous, the girl had a blast at parties with the stars at the legendary club “Studio 54”, and at the age of 13 she first went to a rehabilitation clinic. Today, Drew leads a fairly modest lifestyle and raises two daughters from her third husband, art dealer Will Kopelman, whom she divorced in 2016.
It would seem that after everything she experienced in childhood, the actress should have become a super-strict mother, setting clear boundaries for her children. But it was not there! In a conversation with Better Homes & Gardens, 48-year-old Drew spoke about the rules she follows in her home. And, apparently, the star cannot be classified as an overly harsh mother. So, the New York apartment where she lives with her daughters, 9-year-old Frankie and 10-year-old Olive, is full of pets: two cats, two dogs and one bearded dragon. To prevent children and animals from restraining themselves while playing, Drew buys inexpensive, dark furniture that doesn’t show stains. In addition, she allows her daughters to watch unlimited TV series and movies.
However, the actress still strictly adheres to one house rule. And it concerns gadgets.
“ We watch a lot of films and TV series, and I don’t blame anyone for it. But I’m not a big fan of personal electronics like iPads. During the pandemic, when classes were virtual, we were forced to work on personal devices, and I didn’t like it. Now I keep my iPads in a safe and only take them out on special occasions. I prefer the three of us to go to bed and watch something together rather than separately. “Drew Barrymore, actress
Let us remember that Drew met Will Kopelman, the father of her daughters and the son of ex-Chanel director Ari Kopelman, in early 2011. In June 2012, the couple legalized their relationship, but four years later the actress filed for divorce. Since then, Drew has openly talked about her personal life more than once, but insisted that all experiments and whirlwind romances are a thing of the past. And only recently the actress hinted at a new relationship .
