An ordinary Saturday_on_April_30 in Lviv_quickly ceased to be so. It turned out that Angelina Jolie came to the city on a humanitarian mission. The famous actress was unexpectedly met in one of the local_coffee_shops. Photos of her quickly spread across the Internet, and some even became funny memes. Later it also turned out that Angelina Jolie was in Ukraine solely of her own free will.

Despite the fact that the actress came as a UNICEF Goodwill_Ambassador on a humanitarian_mission, it was a private trip. The actress decided to see with her own eyes what was happening in Ukraine and how children could be helped there. To do this, on the very first day, Jolie made several touching visits.
“Angelina’s goal is to bear witness_to_the_human_impact of conflict and support civilians. She met with_orphans_and_displaced_children, in particular children evacuated from Mariupol, and Ukrainian volunteers and doctors who care for them. And also with local public organizations involved in protecting the population ,” said the actress’s press service.
On the first day of her visit, Angelina Jolie visited the children’s hospital. There are now children there who were injured during a missile attack by Russian troops on the station in Kramatorsk. There she also talked with evacuated citizens and volunteers who help them.
And after some time, Angelina went to the station again. There she met a train that was evacuating people from Pokrovsk. On the Internet you can find many photos where the actress communicates with refugees. The stories of many of them brought the actress to tears. Overall, it was amazing to watch a movie star of Jolie’s stature walk the streets of Lviv and interact with ordinary people.
However, there was also a note of negativity. An air raid alert was announced in Lviv, and the actress had to proceed to the nearest_bomb_shelter. However, it is worth giving Angelina credit, even in a stressful situation she did not stop smiling, without betraying even a drop of fear.

And already on the first of May, Jolie went to Boryslav, where she also visited children’s hospitals where children evacuated from the Lugansk region are now staying. Angelina also visited a center for children with disabilities, and after that talked with refugee families. The actress’s next goal is Kyiv.
